THE FIRST STEP TO BECOMING A FIKOMER: FIKOM UG PKKMB 2026 WELCOMES NEW STUDENTS
Hello, Fikomers!
Wednesday, September 23, 2026, marked an important moment for new students of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Gunadarma. Through the 2026 FIKOM UG Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), the Class of 2026 took their first step as part of the FIKOM UG community.
PKKMB is more than just a welcoming event. It serves as an introduction for new Fikomers to the academic environment, the academic community, and various aspects of campus life that will become part of their journey throughout their studies at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Gunadarma.
GETTING TO KNOW FIKOM UG
Entering university introduces students to an environment, learning system, and experiences that differ from their previous levels of education. Therefore, campus orientation is an important part of helping new students adapt to academic life.
Through PKKMB, new Fikomers have the opportunity to become more familiar with the FIKOM UG environment and life as Communication Studies students.
This moment also marks the beginning of an understanding that university life extends beyond the classroom. There are many opportunities to learn, participate in organizations, collaborate, develop creativity, and gain experiences that will prepare students for the future.
THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY AS COMMUNICATION STUDIES STUDENTS
Becoming a Communication Studies student means preparing to enter a field that continues to evolve alongside changes in society, media, and technology.
Developments in digital media, the creative industries, social media, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and changing patterns of communication in society provide numerous opportunities for young people to continue learning and innovating.
Therefore, the journey at FIKOM UG is expected to provide students with opportunities to develop critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and the ability to communicate effectively and responsibly.
NEW FRIENDS, NEW EXPERIENCES, AND NEW STORIES
The first day on campus also marks the beginning of many new connections. The classmates you meet during PKKMB today may become your discussion partners, teammates for assignments, fellow members of student organizations, or collaborators in creating various works throughout your university years.
Every student arrives with different experiences, abilities, interests, and aspirations. This diversity can become a strength when students get to know one another, exchange ideas, and build meaningful collaborations.
Make your university years an opportunity to expand your network while learning to appreciate different perspectives.
A PLACE TO GROW AND CREATE
The journey as a university student will provide many opportunities to discover and develop your potential. Fikomers can explore a wide range of experiences through academic activities, student organizations, laboratories, competitions, research, creative projects, social initiatives, and various other personal development activities.
Do not be afraid to try something new. Having the courage to express ideas, actively seek new experiences, and remain open to learning are important steps toward discovering the fields that best match your interests and abilities.
Not every process has to lead to immediate success. The experience of trying, evaluating, and improving yourself is also an important part of the journey toward growth.
WELCOME, FIKOMERS 2026!
FIKOM UG PKKMB 2026 is only the first step. After today, there is still a long journey ahead, filled with experiences, challenges, achievements, friendships, and meaningful work.
Make the most of every opportunity to learn and grow. Build positive relationships, discover your full potential, and create experiences that will become valuable parts of your journey as a university student.
