Hi Fikomers! Mother’s Day, celebrated on December 22, 2024, is a special occasion to honor the love, sacrifices, and strength of remarkable women across Indonesia. This year’s theme, “Women Greet, Women Empowered, Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” serves as a reminder of the vital role women play in shaping a bright and prosperous future for our nation.
The Essence of Mother’s Day: Appreciating Women’s Roles
Mother’s Day is not only about celebrating a mother’s role within the family but also about recognizing women as the backbone of society. Mothers are patient and loving educators of the nation’s future generations. Beyond their familial roles, Indonesian women continue to demonstrate their capacity as leaders, change-makers, and contributors to development in various fields, including economics, education, and politics.
The 2024 Theme: Women Greet, Women Empowered

Through equal education, inclusive job opportunities, and appreciation for their contributions, women can drive the nation forward.
Ways to Appreciate Mothers on This Special Day
Celebrating Mother’s Day can be done in simple or grand ways. Here are a few ideas to honor your mother or any woman you admire:
Express Gratitude: Share heartfelt words of appreciation for all their sacrifices and unconditional love. Simple yet meaningful words can leave a lasting impact.
Give a Thoughtful Gift: It doesn’t have to be extravagant—a bouquet, a heartfelt card, or a small keepsake can be enough to make her feel valued.
Create Meaningful Moments: Spend quality time together, whether it’s a dinner, a movie night, or a casual heart-to-heart conversation.
Support Women Empowerment: Participate in social activities, community initiatives, or campaigns advocating for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Youth: The Catalyst for Change
As the younger generation, we bear a significant responsibility to continue supporting women in their journey to thrive and empower others. Equal access to education, technology, and inclusive environments are keys to creating equal opportunities for women. With the right support, Indonesian women can continue to make substantial contributions to national progress.
Inspiring Women Towards Golden Indonesia 2045
