This year’s celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day is even more special with the chosen theme, “New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia.”

79th RI Anniversary Theme: Embracing Indonesia’s Future

This theme was chosen to reflect three significant moments that will become milestones for the Indonesian nation. First, the welcoming of Nusantara as the new capital city, which is expected to symbolize the spirit of Indonesia’s revival and renewal. Second, the transition of the presidency, which will bring new energy and direction for national development. Third, the grand step towards Golden Indonesia 2045, when Indonesia will celebrate its 100th anniversary of independence with a vision of becoming a developed, prosperous, and sovereign nation.

This year’s independence celebration is not just about remembering the struggles of the heroes who freed the nation but also about how we, as the next generation, can continue to fulfill their ideals. With deep gratitude, let us celebrate this Independence Day with a spirit of unity and joy.

As part of the Gunadarma University family, we have a responsibility to contribute to building a better Indonesia. Let us use this opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved and plan the steps we will take to participate in the long journey towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
